Why we started
Ainthiram.
We grew up in Chennai. We trained in architecture and interior design here. We watched the city build, demolish, and rebuild itself — and we noticed that beautiful drawings often arrive on site as something quite different. Ainthiram is our attempt at closing that gap.
We do our own drafting and run our own site team. Our quotes itemise the materials and name the key brands used — modern where the brief asks for it, heritage (Athangudi tile, oxide flooring, reclaimed teak, brass) where the home asks for it.

Five elements.
One way of building.
Ainthiram (ஐந்திரம்) takes its name from the Tamil for 'five' (ஐந்து) — earth, water, fire, air, and space. They're also the five things we design every project around.

We itemise materials and quantities so the quote reads clearly, line by line. If something will cost more than you hoped, you hear it early — not at handover.

We choose plywood, wiring, and finishes for the decade you'll live with them, not just the launch photo.

We deliberately keep our project load small, so every home gets senior designers and architects — not junior staff stretched across a dozen sites.

Every surface earns its place. We'd rather hand over a calm room than a loud one that dates in two years.
